Megève après is generally a more sophisticated affair as skiers enjoy cocktails and champagne instead of the traditional après clubbing scene. In addition, this Megève Folie Douce sits between St Gervais and Megève at the top of the Mont Joux chair lift at 2000m offering stunning views of Mont Blanc, the highest peak in Europe. One of the livelier French resorts, Avoriaz’s après scene has a hedonistic reputation. Open from early December every year, La Folie Douce Avoriaz is the must-visit après destination in the Portes du Soleil ski area. Famous for its afternoon après sessions, La Folie Douce in Avoriaz also has La Petite Cuisine, a self-service restaurant open between 11.30 am and 3 pm. In addition, La Fruitière is a more upmarket restaurant open for lunch and dinner. La Fruitière will also host the extravagant après parties for which La Folie Douce is famous. Between 2 pm and 6.30 pm each day, expect live DJs, singers and performers.

The Chamonix edition of the Folie sits within the very first Folie Douce hotel. This Belle Epoque hotel offers excellent food and cocktails in the hotel’s Le Janssen Cocktail Club. In addition, there is an early-evening acoustic band, a dinner show most nights, an aerialist who performs throughout the evening, plus a nightclub into the early hours. The newest Folie Douce to hit the slopes is in Les Arcs. Bringing its legendary dancing on tables and après ski vibe to the Paradiski area. Opened in 2019, this branch of La Folie Douce is accessible by foot and via the Gondola des Villards. Similarly, guests can enjoy one of the bar’s famous shows, all accompanied by progressive DJ sets, live concerts and aerial spectaculars from the in-house team of performers. Alongside the traditional terrace bar area, La Folie Douce Les Arcs features three on-site restaurants: La Fruitière, La Petite Cuisine and Le Butcher. With menus devised by the head chef to match the atmosphere of each restaurant.
