Luxury Ski Holidays Lech

A charming, luxury ski resort that was once a farming village has been made exclusive by the royalty that have visited, including Princess Diana and other members of European royal families. Centred around the 14th century church and pedestrianised roads, the village has grown over the decades with the addition of stylish, luxury ski hotels and chalets.

Lech has retained its rural Austrian village feel, with many of the popular hotels and restaurants being family-run. Skiers will find a variety of well-groomed pistes suitable for all levels and those wanting to cover more mileage can venture further afield to St. Anton and Stuben.

What our experts say

Despite only having an altitude of 1,450m, Lech often receives double the amount of snowfall than French resorts of the same height, thanks to its location.

Sharing its ski area with the small villages of Zürs and Warth Schröcken, there are 340km of marked slopes with 88 lifts and cable cars. The wide, open slopes are best suited to intermediates. Lech caps the number of ski passes sold per day, meaning you can be sure of peaceful, spacious slopes.

If you would like to access the more challenging and extensive terrain of St. Anton and Stuben, make sure you get a Ski Alberg pass.
