Hemsedal Ski Resort

Possibly Norway’s most popular resort, Hemsedal has a brilliant range of terrain. Whether you are skiing exciting blacks that run through the trees to long green runs that snake from the highest point down to the base, there’s something for everyone.

The resort is known not only for its brilliant skiing but also for its breath-taking scenery. It claims to be the snowboarding press’ most photographed resort, and the views from the mountain down the valley will stop you in your tracks in order to take a quick photo or ten.

Hemsedal’s height and location provide it with some of the best and most consistent snow conditions in Norway. The off-piste skiing here is brilliant with plenty of powder fields that are easily accessible from the pisted runs.

The village itself feels typically Norwegian thanks to the traditional restaurants and wood-clad buildings. In addition, it has trendy bars, cool restaurants and some lively clubs. The village is well set up for European après ski, with a Nordic twist of course.
