Ski Areas in Maria Alm

Maria Alm is a beautiful, charming unspoiled village sitting at the end of the Hochkönig ski area. The village itself is beautiful, boasting an impressive church in the centre. The area is best for adventurous intermediates looking to have some fun and maybe challenge themselves, however, there are also some local nursery slopes for beginners. Maria Alm has 40km of cross country trails too, for those that may fancy trying something new.

Maria Alm ski resort is part of the Hochkönig ski area and has access to 120km of downhill skiing. 85 lifts serve 83 individual pistes covering all difficulty levels. They tend to be wide and lined by trees as they take you through the forest, and provide fantastic skiing for intermediate skiers in particular, boasting three snow parks for the more adventurous skier and excellent off-piste territory. For beginners, there are also great local nursery slopes available.

The Blue Tomato Kings Park in Mühlbach, contains the longest park in Austria. The fun slope, complete with waves and tunnels, makes Maria Alm an extremely exciting resort. Lovely wide pistes and access to three snow parks has made Maria Alm a haven for snowboarders.
