Val d’Isère in February
One of the best places to ski in February, Val d’Isère has something for every type of ski enthusiast. In the high season Val d’Isère has the advantage of eight mountain access points and over 100 lifts. You can avoid queueing by varying your lift choice, or opt for ski-in, ski-out accommodation. The après ski scene is also exceptional.
Val d’Isère Ski ResortPark City in February
This ski resort is now the largest in the USA, having linked the resorts of Canyons and Park City. Park City was founded as a silver mining town, and its Main Street retains a historic feel, making it interesting to explore. There is a good range of places to kick back, whether at a wine bar or even trying your hand at some art at the Paint Mixer. There’s a relaxed atmosphere in the town, and it’s relatively unvisited by British holidaymakers.
Park City Ski ResortTignes in February
One of the best places to ski in February, Tignes peaks reach a dizzying height of 3,455 metres. The Grande Motte glacier offers skiing almost year-round. Tignes is part of the Espace Killy ski area and linked with one of our favourite ski resorts Val d’Isère. If you are looking for vast ski terrain you will not be disappointed. The après ski scene in Tignes is superb, with more than 60 restaurants and a large sunny terrace at the Loop Bar that is very popular.
Tignes Ski ResortMammoth in February
California’s Mammoth resort is the perfect place to go skiing in February. As the name suggests, Mammoth Mountain is huge – reaching lofty heights of 11,000 feet, with 3,500 acres of ski terrain, including nine unbound terrain parks. Experts will enjoy taking on the challenge of the steep double-diamond chutes, while less-experienced skiers will find plenty of gentler runs to try out.
Mammoth Ski ResortVal Thorens in February
This is Europe’s highest ski area at a height of 2,300 metres. With direct access to the Three Valleys ski area, Val Thorens has a good range of ski terrain for all abilities, including some challenging off-piste terrain and two glaciers. The 150km of slopes are mostly north-facing, so the snow stays colder for longer. We highly recommend Val Thorens as a great place to go skiing in February.
Val Thorens Ski ResortCourchevel in February
Courchevel is one of the largest and most exclusive ski resorts in the world. The ski resort has a sprawling 600 kilometres of marked pistes, 200 lifts and around 1,100 ski instructors.
