At Ski Solutions we take British travellers far beyond the slopes. We have plenty of winter experiences on offer such as heli-skiing, snow cats and husky dog safaris. Make your ski break even more memorable and add a winter experience to your package.
Scandinave Spa, Whistler Blackcomb
Take some time out to relax. Outdoor spa experiences – such as Scandinave Spa in Whistler Blackcomb – embrace a Wi-Fi ban and encourage mindful silence in a glorious natural setting. Try eucalyptus steam baths, saunas, Nordic waterfalls and outdoor roaring fires surrounded by hammocks.
The Little Nell Snowcat, Aspen
The Little Nell Snowcat in Aspen is an exhilarating full day out on the slopes. Explore intermediate to expert terrain on 10-12 runs in a group of no more than 12 people. A well-deserved lunch and massage is provided in a wood-stove heated cabin on the slopes of Elk Mountain. Prices start from £322 per person based on a group of ten. Or, from £380 per person for individuals. The excursion is fully escorted by expert guides and offered twice each week between December and April.
Managing Director, Craig Burton of Ski Solutions said: “There’s so much more to the world’s ski and snowboard resorts than the slopes. British travellers are now embracing all manner of adventures to make their trips remarkable. Food has always been fundamental to a great ski holiday and gourmet touches. Whether a hot toddy in a snowy forest or organic snacks around an outdoor fire – are now joined on the menu by exceptional après ski suppers and surprises.”
Ultimate Winter Experience, Panorama
Snow lovers looking for the whole package, can book the Ultimate Winter Experience in Panorama. This includes flights, accommodation, four day lift pass, ski hire, one day heli-skiing and one day snow-mobiling from just £1,925 per person.
The ice Q Restaurant, Sölden
Few locations can better the ice Q restaurant in Sölden, which featured in James Bond thriller, Spectre. The glass walls provide uninterrupted and unrivalled views of the Austrian Alps to stir diners, leaving the mixologists to shake the martinis. In Courchevel, enjoy savouring the renowned menu at Le Chabichou. Alternatively, guests can also join a cooking class with Michelin-starred Chefs Michel Rochedy and Stéphane Buron.
La Cabane de Bûcherons, Courchevel
In the running for most romantic après ski is La Cabane de Bûcherons in Courchevel. Enjoy an unforgettable evening in a rather deluxe ‘woodcutter’s cabin’ where a traditional Savoyard candlelit dinner is served with wines. Guests can hike or snowmobile to the glamorous mountainside refuge and then sled home after dinner.
Husky Safari, Trysil
For the full throttle Nordic experience, a two-and-a-half- hour husky safari over frozen lakes and through snow-covered forests in Trysil, Norway, is hard to beat. Experts guide you on how best to handle the six huskies. Your safari guide will even treat you to a warming toddy or two of local tipple, Solbærtoddy in an abandoned forest hut. Prices start from £115 per person.
